Male and Female Created He Them

Genesis 5:2
Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
From the beginning, the Lord God wanted man and woman to work together as ‘one’. He ‘called their name Adam’. His plan for them was to be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth on the earth.
But Eve was deceived into thinking that there was ‘more’ outside of what God had provided them. She saw the tree that God had specifically told Adam not to eat of---and it looked good. She believed it would make her wise. So, she ate from the tree and gave the fruit to her husband who was with her---then he ate it also. After this, their eyes were opened, but not in the way it seems they had hoped.
They realized they were naked. So, they sewed some fig leaves together to cover their nakedness. Then when they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden, they hid themselves. You see, the woman was deceived by the serpent, but the man was disobedient to the Lord God---who specifically told Adam not to eat that tree before the woman was formed. And because of this departure from the Lord God’s command, we live in a fallen world. A world that is not what God wanted for us.
Now think about it---all the evil we see around us is present because Adam decided not to obey the Lord God’s command to not eat of only one tree. Yet man and woman continue to think somehow we know better than the Lord God.
God made ‘male’ and ‘female’ with purpose. He did not make us different to cause separation. He wanted man and woman to rule as ‘one’---but because of the fall, the Lord God changed the dynamics of the husband-and-wife relationship. The husband is supposed to be the ultimate decision maker. The wife can provide suggestions or insight—but she should not ‘demand’ to be heard.
As a woman, wife, and mother, I appreciate this new boundary provided for woman. If we listen to God and follow His plan, we won’t inadvertently lead our families to destruction as the first woman did.
So, be encouraged to embrace who God created you to be.
If you are a man, be a godly man. If you are a woman, be a godly woman. Don’t allow anything or anyone deceive you into thinking that the Lord God made a mistake or doesn't know best.
Remember you are unique and special with purpose! Let God help you mature and grow in your uniqueness!
